What is a checkweigher and how does it working?


A dynamic online weighing machine is an automated device that can measure the weight of objects in real-time during their continuous movement, and complete data processing, sorting or monitoring. It is widely used in scenarios such as assembly line production and logistics sorting, and can complete weighing without requiring objects to be stationary.


Conveying SystemComposed of motors, conveyor belts or rollers, it drives the measured objects to pass through the weighing area continuously at a stable speed, ensuring that the objects maintain a relatively stable posture during movement.
Weighing Sensor SystemThe core is a high-precision strain gauge or electromagnetic weighing sensor installed under the conveying system. When an object passes through, the sensor converts the pressure generated by the weight into an electrical signal (voltage or current change).
Data Acquisition and Processing UnitCollects the electrical signals output by the sensor, converts analog signals into digital signals through analog-to-digital conversion, and then uses built-in algorithms (such as filtering and dynamic compensation algorithms) to eliminate interference caused by movement such as vibration and speed changes, and calculates the actual weight of the object.
Control SystemReceives the processed weight data, presets weight thresholds, and triggers subsequent actions based on the measurement results (such as sorting qualified/unqualified products, recording weight data, and alarm prompts). It is usually equipped with a human-machine interface for setting parameters and viewing historical data.
Sorting/Actuating Mechanism (Optional)Such as pneumatic push rods, shift forks or robotic arms, according to the instructions of the control system, it separates objects with unqualified weights from the assembly line to complete automated sorting.

  1.    Core Principle: Dynamic Force Measurement & Signal Processing

  2.    The assembly line starts, and the conveying system runs stably at the set speed;

  3.    The measured object enters the weighing area with the conveying system, and the weight of the object is transmitted to the weighing sensor through the conveying system;

  4.    The sensor converts the pressure into an electrical signal and transmits it to the data acquisition unit;

  5.    The acquisition unit amplifies, filters and converts the analog signal to digital signal, and the processing unit corrects the motion error through the dynamic compensation algorithm to obtain an accurate weight value;

  6.    The control system compares the measured value with the preset threshold:If it is within the threshold range, it is judged as a qualified product, and the object continues to flow with the assembly line;If it exceeds the threshold, it is judged as an unqualified product, triggering the action of the sorting mechanism to separate the object;

  7.    The weight data is simultaneously recorded in the storage module or uploaded to the production management system for quality traceability or statistical analysis.
